Settling into the Centre
We encourage all families to visit the centre before your child begins attending. Our Centre tours last for approximately half an hour and gives parents the opportunity to:
Meet the teachers
Observe the activities children are engaged in
Allows your child to explore the surroundings
Discover the features that our Centre has to offer.
In order to alleviate the stress of being separated from parents, we encourage you to bring along your children for a few visits to our centre before they start. By going through this orientation process the children get a ‘feel’ of the environment, and this hopefully makes it less intimidating on that first day away from their family.
We ask that you allow a period of time for your child to settle into the Centre. It is worthwhile for you to help the staff establish a feeling of trust and security and ensure your child’s happiness.
Always say goodbye and tell them that you will be back in the afternoon.
Feel free to phone the centre to find out how your child is settling in.
